British Precast Architectural and Structural is a member association of British Precast. Our principal objectives are to promote the structural, aesthetic and commercial benefits of precast concrete structural and facade systems and their proven performance. Our members’ products are manufactured under factory-controlled conditions to a high standard, giving architects, structural engineers and building contractors the assurance of performance in line with design specifications.
British Precast Architectural and Structural Full Members are all required to sign up to the British Precast Charter Membership scheme including our Health and Safety and Sustainability Charters. These Charter schemes are part of the ‘Raising the Bar’ initiative, which demonstrates our members’ commitment to zero harm and improving environmental performance within the industry.
Our Full and Associate Members have demonstrated their support for the development of the precast concrete industry, and regularly take part in our events.
The topic of Sustainability plays a large role in the work of British Precast Architectural and Structural, with the British Precast Sustainability Strategy launched eight years ago and KPI reports published annually since 2008. The latter comprises annual performance data, providing an overview of the impact of the precast sector on society and the environment. All Full Members are audited annually against the principles and requirements of the sustainability charter and submit data to include within our annual review, Sustainability Matters.
